Debbie’s Cardigan

Commercial activity was paused for the entirety of 2024 to develop work without the constraint of price or time. All knitwear that year was made as gifts, taking as long as each piece needed to reach completion. This was the first sweater made as a gift, for Debbie, a luxury shopper and frequent traveller with a strong competitive nature. It was designed as a customized, sportswear-inspired piece prioritizing comfort and ease of care, knit to be machine washable. An oversized cardigan in colourgrown organic cotton with upcycled buttons and patch pockets, striped in navy and cream across the chest and sleeves in a varsity register. The recipient's name is knit into the sleeve stripes, first and last in fair isle.
